What is Tuition Assistance?
Tuition Assistance is a financial award applied to tuition and is based on financial need.
What is the amount of Tuition Assistance awarded?
This school year, the CSGK distributed more than $384,000 to over 38% of our school families. The total amount of tuition assistance provided each year is based on availability of funds and the number of qualified applicants who apply.
How do families apply?
Families complete the tuition assistance application form and submit by the early enrollment deadline, which is May 1st, 2023, through the FACTS portal.
Where do the funds for Tuition Assistance come from?
Tuition assistance is available from the following donations and endowed funds:
How is tuition assistance determined?
FACTS will recommend the amount awarded based on family’s income level, family size, number of students in Catholic schools, monthly income and expenses, assets and liabilities, and any special circumstances. The CSGK will review the amount recommended by FACTS and make the final decision.
Do I have to complete separate tuition assistance applications for my children if they attend different Catholic schools?
No, you submit one tuition assistance application per family. You list each student and the school they attend on one application.
Does the application need to be submitted electronically?
Yes. This will be done through the FACTS portal.
When will I know if I qualified for any tuition assistance?
You will receive notification in June of your determination and amount of tuition assistance.
Will I receive my full request?
CSGK cannot guarantee that 100% of each request will be granted, however, FACTS and the CSGK business office will do their best to meet each family's need. Please note that late applications cannot be guaranteed.
Is my information kept confidential?
Yes. All financial information is kept confidential and is only reviewed by FACTS and the CSGK Business Office.
When is the first tuition payment due?
The first payment is based on the payment plan selected in the tuition contract and due dates are:
Pay-in-full Due August 10th
ACH Due July 1st
Monthly Due July 1st
Can I volunteer and receive credit for tuition?
We do not have a volunteer program set up for tuition credits. We appreciate our volunteers and ask for help with school events, clubs, extracurricular events, and sports teams. This allows the fundraising dollars to go to these groups to help cover the costs of their programs. However, you can participate in CSGK’s TRIP program and the money earned is applied to your tuition account.
Who do I contact if I have other questions regarding tuition and assistance?
Please contact Melissa Anderegg, CSGK Business Manager, at 269-381-2646, ext. 119 or manderegg@csgk.org or Michele Buchmann, CSGK Business Administrator at 269-381-2646, ext.106 or mbuchmann@csgk.org.
