The John Robert Amat Fund was established in 2010. Each year, the fund provides a Welcome Scholarship to every new student who joins St. Augustine Cathedral School (for every new Kindergarten- 8th grade student). Through this scholarship and the communication that accompanies it, the Fund will share the message that "while John cannot be here, our school community is glad that you are.” The Fund is intended to be symbolic of John's short life that touched many people and to pass on a spark of his spirit.The Elaine Barron Fund
The Elaine Barron Fund was established in 2013 in loving memory of St. Augustine Cathedral School's long-time first-grade teacher, Elaine Marie Barron. The fund provides scholarships for first-grade students attending St. Augustine Cathedral School. Mrs. Barron instilled in her students a sense of self-confidence, a sense of problem-solving , and above all, a sense of being loved.The Jan Boyle Fund
Established in memory of beloved Hackett secretary Jan Boyle, who served the high school from the day its doors opened in 1964 until her retirement in 2011. The Jan Boyle Fund provides crucial tuition assistance to Hackett students.The Mary K. Carr Memorial Fund for the Arts
Mary K. Carr, the mother of two Hackett Catholic Prep alumni, was passionate about Catholic schools. She believed that academic excellence, taught in the moral environment of our faith, builds leaders that the world very much needs. The Carr family has chosen to honor Mary's passion for Catholic education, her consistent willingness to help where she saw a need, and her constant support of her three children's involvement in music and the performing arts, by establishing a scholarship in her memory at Hackett Catholic Prep. The Mary K. Carr Memorial Scholarship is the first in Hackett's history intended specifically for a student who is engaged in the arts.The Donna Kendzior Memorial Scholarship
The Donna Kendzior Memorial Scholarship was established by her husband and two daughters, both Hackett alumnae, to financially support a student to attend Hackett Catholic Prep for one school year. During Donna’s battle with cancer, their family received financial assistance to allow their daughters to complete their education at Hackett in spite of the burden of medical bills. The Kendzior family would like to return this gift of education, community, and faith to other students who are going through similar situations.The Diane T. Page Memorial Science Education Fund
The Diane T. Page Memorial Science Education Fund was established in 2019 in memory of a beloved longtime St. Monica Catholic School teacher. This fund will support St. Monica middle school science teachers in purchasing the additional supplies needed for classroom experiments and engaging science education. Mrs. Page cared deeply about helping her students discover a true understanding and passion for science. Donations to this fund will continue her impact at St. Monica for many years to come.
The Adam Pulling Memorial Scholarship
The Adam Pulling Memorial Scholarship was established in 2005 by the Pulling family, to honor the momory of their son and brother Adam Pulling '03. Originally awarded to a graduating senior to support their college studies, the two-year tuition scholarship is now awarded annually to a rising junior who has demonstrated outstanding citizenship through his or her high school career, has been involved in Scouting and/or has shown a commitment to community service.
The Stanley Rubleski Memorial Scholarship
The Stanley Rubleski Memorial Scholarship was established by Jeff Rubleski "77 in memory of his father, a dedicated longtime volunteer and coach at hackett. In honor of Coach Rubleski's legacy of impacting young people through sports, recipients need not be a standout athlete but should exhibit goog sportsmanship and teamwork.
The Sue Turner Legacy Scholarship
The Sue Turner Legacy Scholarship was estabslihed by members of the Turner family in memory of Sue Turner, grandmother of the Hollman, Ross, and Turner grandchildren. Mrs. Turner taught for many years at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School in Michigan Center, Michigan. The Scholarship is intended for a fifth-grade student; the class that Mrs. Turner used to teach. It may be awarded to a student at another grade level if the need is greater.
The Brother Jerry Wunderly, SM Memorial Fund
Established in memory of a beloved Hackett teacher, the Brother Jerry Wunderly, SM Memorial Fund supports an annual scholarship awarded to an outstanding junior student who has demonstrated knowledge and skills in the field of computer science or math and a deep commitment to community service. The fund also provides an annual amount to be used to continue improvements to Hackett's technology resources.
